MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN SOSIAL EMOSIONAL ANAK MELALUI METODE STORY TELLING PADA ANAK USIA DINI (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas Pada Anak Kelompok A Di Pos Paud Rose Kota Bandung)
Behavior of self-confidence, sharing, helping, assisting and obeying the rules that apply in a game is one aspect of children's social emotional development which is included in basic competencies (KD) that need to be developed from an early age. Confidence, sharing, helping, and obeying rules is an activity where the attitudes, appearance, and behavior of students are in accordance with the order of values, norms, and provisions that apply in the school and class where they are. Learning at Rose Post PAUD Bandung on social emotional assessment tends to have not developed and is starting to develop. This can be seen when children are asked to appear in front of the class still shy, do not want to share, help, and help their friends and have not obeyed the rules in a game.rnThis classroom action research aims to: improve learning practices, improve student behavior, improve teacher teaching patterns and improve social emotional abilities of children aged 4-5 years through story telling method at Rose PAUD Post.rnThis research is a classroom action research, the model used is Kurt Lewin's model, which consists of 2 cycles. The research subjects were 13 children consisting of 8 girls and 5 boys. Collecting data using observation technique (checklist). The data analysis technique used a qualitative descriptive technique. The success rate of children's social emotional abilities is 76%.rnThe results of the study prove that story telling can improve the abilities of children aged 4-5 years at Rose Early Childhood Education Post. This is evident in the increase in children's social emotional abilities, the average of children from the first cycle of the 1st act is 38%, and the 2nd action is 43%. Then in the second cycle the 1st action was 67% and the 2nd action was 81% after being given story telling action using audio-visual media and hand puppets.rnBased on the results of the above analysis in cycle I and cycle II, the researcher can conclude that the story telling method can improve the social emotional abilities of children aged 4-5 years at Rose PAUD Pos Bandung.
